Massage vs exercise

I have people asking me for massage when they have aches and strains. But the thing is, does massage really work? Yes it does FOR TEMPORARY RELIEF. After the massage, you will feel relaxed but what happens a few days later? THE ACHE COMES BACK!

You can have the massage, but you should start doing some stretching on that area, if you feel achy it usually means your muscles in that area are overworked and are contracting and u have lactic acid built up. So massaging will only help A LITTLE. What would really work is to up on your protein intake, drink lots of water and also exercise. And by exercise, I mean light exercise. Not deadlifts, not clean and jerk or leg press...maybe leg press..but a lighter load.

Stretching is important. Many people don't stretch. Especially GUYS. GUYS, stretching is important. Muscles work like a spring. Its very springy. But when u lift heavy or overwork the muscles, it remains in a contracted situation like a spring in that compressed manner. That is when u get all the soreness. And when a muscle is tight, injuries will happen. Its like comparing a rubber band to a EXPIRED rubber band. A new rubber band is very flexible. When u pull it, it will spring back. Thats how our muscles are supposed to work. but when u put a rubber band in the shelve for too long, what usually happens? it hardens. and when u try to stretch it, what happens? it snaps! Same goes to your muscles. If its inflexible, you tend to get a muscle tear easily. So peeps, STRETCH
